In the next cube, I hear The Palinite say: “I’ve got an article just for you!”
Paper rustles.
The Paulite: *GASP* ”Thank you!”
I listen in for a bit.
The Palinite thinks that a guy who got arrested for “brandishing a weapon” in a shopping mall is a plant by an anti-gun group (“The Brady campaign”, in The Palinite’s words) to enact stricter gun control laws. He keeps calling it a “false flag operation”.
But when The Paulite summarizes it by saying “So you think this guy is part of the Brady campaign”, The Palinite demurrs. “That’s not what I said!”
What kind of mental gymnastics does one have to go through to make, and then deny, an accusation like that? What kind of world would one have to live in to think like that?
